Direct Mail vs Cold Calling for Sellers

Direct mail costs $0.50-$1.50 per piece with 0.5-2% response rates. Cold calling costs $0.05-$0.10 per dial with 2-5% contact rates. Mail is passive (set it and forget it). Calling is active (requires daily effort). The best approach combines both: mail generates inbound leads while you cold call for outbound activity.

The right choice depends on your specific situation, market, and goals. Both approaches have merit, and most successful wholesalers incorporate elements of both over time.
