How to Export Your Buyer List from InvestorBase (And Import to Deal Run)

If you are moving away from InvestorBase or want to back up your buyer data, this guide shows you how to export your buyer list and import it into another platform.

Exporting from InvestorBase

  1. Log in to your InvestorBase account
  2. Navigate to your Buyer List or CRM section
  3. Select the contacts you want to export (or select all)
  4. Click the Export or Download button
  5. Choose CSV format
  6. Save the file to your computer

The exported CSV should include investor names, phone numbers, emails, property addresses, and any tags or notes you have added. If InvestorBase limits your export, contact their support to request a full data export — most platforms are required to provide your data upon request.

Importing to Deal Run

  1. Sign up at dealrun.ai (free trial available)
  2. Navigate to your Buyer List in the app
  3. Click Import and upload your CSV file
  4. Map the CSV columns to Deal Run fields (name, phone, email, etc.)
  5. Review and confirm the import

Deal Run supports bulk imports with deduplication — if a contact already exists in your list, it updates rather than creates a duplicate.

What you gain by switching

InvestorBase costs $249/month for buyer identification and a basic CRM. Deal Run includes the same buyer identification at $99/month, plus deal marketing pages, AI-powered analysis, and outreach tools that InvestorBase does not offer. See our detailed comparison.

Data ownership tip: Always export your buyer list before canceling any platform. Your contact data is a business asset — do not leave it locked in a subscription you are no longer paying for.
